Getting started

Open the DAW straight from the landing page - no account and no sign-up. Everything below works immediately.

Record your first take

  1. Add a track and choose Audio (from a microphone) or Instrument (played via MIDI or the on-screen keyboard).
  2. Arm the track, then press Record. A count-in plays first if you've turned it on.
  3. Press Stop, then Play (or Loop) to hear it back.
  4. Add more tracks the same way and build up an arrangement.

Saving your work

The DAW autosaves in the background every few seconds while there's a genuine change to save, and you can always save manually too. A project reloads exactly where you left it, stored locally in your browser. See Import, export and files for exporting audio and MIDI files, not just saving locally.

No hardware? No problem

Play an instrument track with the on-screen keyboard or the drum pad grid. See MIDI, devices and settings for connecting a real MIDI controller instead.
