The piano roll

Every MIDI note is drawn, moved, resized and deleted directly on the piano roll.

Editing notes

• Draw a note by clicking on the grid; drag its edge to resize it.
• Move a note by dragging it; marquee-select or shift-click to select several at once.
• A dedicated velocity lane sits beneath the grid, and notes snap to grid by default.
• Arrow keys nudge a selected note; Delete removes it.

Scale lock and chord assist

Turn on scale lock and every note you draw or move snaps to a chosen root and scale. Chord assist composes with it: drawing a note optionally draws a whole chord instead, snapped to scale at the root first.

Humanise

Select some notes and click Humanise for a one-shot, undoable nudge to their timing and velocity - useful for taking the machine-quantised edge off a drawn part.
